Ah, Pontcysyllte, speak it if you dare!
In 2009 Thomas Telford's spectacular aqueduct on the Llangollen Canal was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as "a masterpiece of creative genius". Having already researched and photographed the aqueduct for Offa's Dyke- a journey in words and pictures, I suggested to Mairwen Prys-Jones at Gomer Press that there might be an opportunity here. She agreed, and in 2010 published Pontcysyllte as part of Gomer's bilingual Wonder Wales series. 24 pages, text by Catrin Beard, 12 of my photographs plus archive illustrations from other sources.
